1. Educational Purposes Only — Not Legal Advice

The Platform and all Content — including scenarios, questions, answer options, explanations, hints, case summaries, comparison tables, and any other material — are provided for general educational and exam-preparation purposes only.

Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal advice, legal opinion, or professional legal consultation of any kind. Nothing on the Platform creates or is intended to create a solicitor-client relationship, barrister-client relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and Legal Labs or any individual associated with Legal Labs.

You must not rely on any Content as a basis for taking or refraining from any legal action, advising any client, or making any professional or personal decision. If you require legal advice, you must consult a qualified legal professional appropriately authorised in the relevant jurisdiction.

2. No Affiliation with the SRA, Kaplan, or Any Official Body

Legal Labs is a fully independent educational technology business. We are not affiliated with, approved by, endorsed by, or connected in any way with:

  • the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA);
  • Kaplan SQE Limited or any Kaplan entity;
  • any university, law school, professional body, or regulatory authority.

The terms "SQE", "SQE1", and "SQE2" are used in a purely descriptive and nominative sense to indicate the subject matter of our educational content. Their use does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the SRA or any official body.

3. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Currency

The law changes. Our Content may not reflect the most recent legislative amendments, case law developments, regulatory guidance, or changes to the SQE assessment specification.

While we take reasonable steps to verify Content against primary sources at the time of writing (including BAILII, legislation.gov.uk, and SRA published materials), we make no warranty that any Content is accurate, complete, current, or free from error.

Every lab includes a currency note stating when the law was last verified. You must treat that date as a limit — developments after that date may not be reflected.

It is your absolute responsibility to independently verify all legal principles, case citations, statutory provisions, and regulatory requirements against current authoritative sources before placing any reliance on them, whether for exam preparation or any other purpose.

4. No Guarantee of Exam Outcome

Performance on the Platform — including labs completed, XP earned, accuracy rates, rank achieved, or any other metric — does not predict, guarantee, or warrant performance in the SQE1, SQE2, or any other examination. Many factors outside our control affect examination performance. We make no representation that use of the Platform will lead to examination success or professional qualification.

5. Jurisdiction-Specific Content

The primary content of this Platform addresses the law of England and Wales as applied in the SQE context. Where we include comparative content relating to Hong Kong, Australia, or other jurisdictions, that content is provided for general illustration only and is marked "indicative" — it has not been verified to the same standard as the England and Wales content. It should not be relied upon as an accurate statement of law in any jurisdiction other than England and Wales.

6. AI and Automated Features

Where the Platform uses automated systems or artificial intelligence to generate feedback, hints, grades, or other outputs, those outputs are generated by automated processes and have not been individually reviewed or verified by a qualified legal professional. Automated outputs may contain errors. You must apply your own judgment and verify against primary sources.

7. External Links

The Platform may link to external websites for reference purposes. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any external site. A link does not constitute our endorsement of the linked content.

8. Limitation of Liability

This Disclaimer is to be read alongside our Terms of Use. The limitations of liability set out in the Terms of Use apply in full to any claim arising from your reliance on, or use of, the Content.
