The Missing Witness

Context

Arthur, aged 78, prepares a will leaving his entire estate to his carer, Gloria. Arthur signs in the presence of his neighbour Frank, who also signs as witness. Arthur's daughter Sandra watches from the doorway but does not sign. Gloria is present in the room when both Arthur and Frank sign. Arthur's family challenge the will on two grounds: (1) not properly witnessed; and (2) Gloria as beneficiary cannot take her gift.
